National School Building Project.

Our school will change in its appearance in 2011 with the National School Building Project.
We will have all of the junior school in the main brick building and the middle / senior school in the new learning street space.
With the completion of our new buildings, our historic past will making way for a vibrant future.

History of our School

1918Our school has a rich and varied history as it was established in 1918, with an enrolment of 18.

The school was known as the “Great Morwell Coal Mine School” and the first school building was a marquee. The name was changed to Yallourn North Primary School in 1947 and we have continued to update our facilities, grounds and learning opportunities every year since.
